Question by Zongy: I have a new word processor on my computer desktop called Microsoft Works., Problem with its text to speech.?
As I said it has a feature called ” Text to Speech ” which I would very much like to use as I write short stories. I’d love to hear the words spoken back to me of this text.
I have been able to bring up the window ” Text to Speech ” on the Help Menu , and have selected a computerized voice and sound volume .
Problem is I do not know how to get it to actually work when I have a page of text on the monitor screen . I see nothing when the text is displayed that indicates ” activate Text to Speech ” . Can anybody tell me how to do that ? Very much appreciated ..

You need to download the Microsoft Reader Text-to-Speech Package first.
Get it from http://www.microsoft.com/reader/downloads/pc.asp

If your computer hangs or reboots while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software. This problem can be solved by uninstalling new softwares, updating device drivers and making minor configuration changes. Detailed instructions at http://tinyurl.com/yk5zpr
